Classic Portrait Photography
In the field of portrait photography you can choose between two main directions: Do you want to get in contact with others or do you want to make a statement about your values or your company or your achievements?
In the first case you should embody social values, confidence, reliability, concentration, intelligence. This is the “classic” portrait photography. Typically you look at the viewer, the background is neutral (so for example plain studio background) or is unimportant because you are in the foreground.
If you want to present photos of you in action, you can transport values like energy, success. Then you need journalistic photos.
The following photos may illustrate this. They were made during a magazine interview with the managing director of commodity Alliance, Dr. Dierk Paskert – by the way, in room light.
